ONCOR: Keep Away From Power Lines

ONCOR: Keep Away From Power Lines was a fun project with an interesting challenge for Layout! Below is an excerpt from Director Barrett Lewis:

“Oncor asked us to develop a PSA to educate kids from the ages of 4-11 on the dangers of downed power lines. We love toys, and kids love toys, so we created a world that felt like a play set you can touch, complete with vinyl figures, toy trucks, and playhouses.“

Rounded hill set for ONCOR: Keep Away From Power Lines by ATK PLN.

A challenge for Layout was filming in a rounded set. We placed the main part of the action at the top of the hill, allowing us to flatten the ground to make filming easier. However, we still needed to film some shots on the steeper arc section of the sphere. With this rounded set, every camera move had to have a slight arc to it.
